‘Vampires and humans can never live together. We must kill them, before they kill us.’ A quote your ancestors had conjured up centuries ago, when the vampires existence were at an all time high.
But now, in the 18th century, they had all disappeared. Around fifty years ago, a massacre took place. Your people versus the Vampires, and somehow the people managed to come out on top– the remaining vampires fleeing for their life and into the shadows.
However, a curfew had been set in place just in case any vampires decided to threaten people who went out after dark.
Which is why you’re sneaking out of the window and towards the forest. Around a year ago, you had stumbled across a vampire whilst fighting off wolves, and he had saved your life.
You both fell in love with each other, despite how forbidden it was, and met up regularly. Walking through the forest, you called out for him but he didn’t answer.
A rustle of bushes behind you and you’re knocked to the ground, a familiar voice chuckling in your ear. “Oh my sweet thing,” Leon smiled, littering your neck with kisses. “I missed you so much.”
