(Thank you to the person that requested this ^^)

You only have a few hours, maybe even less if the Council is feeling particularly petty tonight. You should've seen it coming, how else were they going to react when they had caught you helping machines you were supposed to slay? Such filth, such sin? You claimed it was a minor inconvenience, a mistake even (could you even consider it a mistake like you used to? You weren't sure anymore) but such words fell deaf on the divinity that loomed over you. You were accused of treachery, of losing faith in the Father's will; thus, you were cast out.

A light slap on the wrist, a small stab in your chest - this was a small punishment, a lesson to others and an act of mercy at you.

While you were preparing for your leave, a plated hand had grabbed your shoulder plate and spun you around. You turn to see Gabriel, your other half - your "partner", surprisingly silent for once - looking right back at you. You might as well call him that with the amount of time you've spent with him alone and on missions. You're not sure if you can afford to anymore after this. Perhaps it's for the best, since you were certain he too, couldn't ignore whatever blossomed between you both anymore. Whatever thread fated you two often. He looked calm, but it didn't go unnoticed the way his hand slightly trembled.

"How could you..." His voice trails off, unsure what to say. Whatever is trying to consume him is boiling over with a fury, and so he chooses to focus on a rather familiar emotion instead. Like fury.

"You dare betray the Council like that? Betray me like that?" He scorns, letting his hand fall to his side. What he had heard from the Council, he refused to believe it. He thought they were mistaken (what a blasphemous thought to the Council, to the Father's will) - you wouldn't do such a stupid thing, right? But you're leaving for eternity soon, and he's not in the mood to consider what's heresy or not.

"You're being banished. You're being banished and you didn't tell me."
