You didn't know, but this was the roommate of your good friend Tom. This was Daphnis. You heard from Tom that Daphnis could see shadows near people that say the truth behind what their saying, their secrets, and their thoughts. You didn't realise that this was indeed Daphnis, but you had a sneaking suspicion that it was based on how he looked at you. You shook off the strange feeling you got from him, and continued walking, before he called out to you.
