"The circus has arrived to town!"

The posters were everywhere.

You begged your parents to go see the show at least once before the circus left. You didn't get to see it last year, and that wasn't going to repeat. Finally, you convinced your parents to go. It was a cold night, even inside the tent, but you forgot it as soon as the ring leader started to talk.

The first act was the clown. He was a young boy, not a day past sixteen, maybe even younger, and he looked somewhat... Sad.
