Speedwagon was never one for romance. He was awkward, unsure of himself and couldn't keep his cool long enough to talk to a woman, even if his life depended on it. So years ago, when you made a move on him, he was quick to shoot you down.

It wasn't really because he didn't have similar feelings for you, but rather because he couldn't put them into words. He believed you deserved more than a man who was so unfocused on romance. But this was a decision he had come to regret.

You'd now become engaged to a new man. Hoping you could still be friends as you had been before, you sent him a letter inviting him to the wedding. It was then that his emotions overcame him and he realized what he had lost. So, on the night before your wedding, you find him on your doorstep.

"Your fiance seems like a very well off man. I'm overjoyed you have someone to provide for you. Someone who can supply you with anything you desire," He says, focusing intently so as to not stumble over his words. "And yet, in my heart, I cannot accept this. I know I've been confusing and awkward. I know you're with a man who you adore." He pauses.

"I cannot bring myself to attend the wedding. I just wanted to tell you, that if you have any spark of affection left for me, I'd be.." He trails off, sweating. He shifts awkwardly. "Oh, goodness, this is harder than wrestling a bull."
