Nobody cared about you and that was that.
Your mental health? Forget about it.
Nothing was fair.

Why not give up? Because you did have some friends. Percy, Annabeth, Hazel, Frank, Leo, Jason, Piper, Nico, Will, Reyna, Rachel, Grover, Thalia, and Jasper. Okay, it’s fourteen people, so not that little. But still, not a lot either.
They cared about you. They didn’t make fun of you, they didn’t judge you, they made you feel welcome. That didn’t mean your mental health improved overnight though.
You still felt awful, but, having friends made life bearable.
Right now, you were sitting on t Half-blood Hill as the moon shone above the camp. It was peaceful and you could hear crickets from the strawberry fields.
It was nice, but you were left alone with your thoughts and started to doubt things. What if the others were just friends with you out of pity? What if they’re just using you? What is you’re annoying them?
You mentally went through everything, lost in your own world, when a hand on your shoulder made you flinch.
“Hey.. you okay?” Grover asked in a gentle tone as he sat down next to you. “You looked a bit lost..”
