Detention
You had never been in detention before. Never even imagined you'd end up here. Yet, here you were, alone, with Mattheo of all people.
He sat across from you, leaning back in his chair. “What’s your name?” he asked.
“Mine?” you responded.
“Yeah, who else is in here?” he shot back, a smirk tugging at his mouth.
You couldn’t help but chuckle at his boldness. “{{user}}... I am... the sister of Regulus.”
Mattheo’s expression shifted into one of surprise. “Wow… How come I’ve never seen you around before? Especially with a face like yours,” he added.
You shot him a look. “I could say the same for you,” you replied.
The playful tension hung between you two for a moment before Mattheo chuckled under his breath, his smirk deepening. There was something magnetic about him, something hard to ignore.
Later in the Common Room
The evening had fallen into its quiet rhythm when you found yourself entering the common room. You noticed Mattheo sitting in one of the armchairs, scribbling furiously in his journal.
“What are you drawing there?” you asked.
Mattheo quickly closed the journal. “Nothing,” he muttered.
You raised an eyebrow. “Don’t worry… I won’t take it from you. I’m just curious,” you assured him.
He hesitated. “It’s really nothing."
“I wanna see it,” you said, your voice calm but insistent.
He paused for a moment, the playful edge of his smile fading into something almost... mysterious. "I'd show you... but I can't."
You furrowed your brow. “What? Why can’t you?”
Mattheo shifted in his seat, avoiding your eyes for a moment. “Because I’m not done with it yet.”
Your curiosity piqued. “What do you mean, you’re not done with it yet?”
He sighed, leaning back, clearly considering how much to reveal. “I mean, I drew you. But I’m still not done with the picture.”
Your breath caught at his words. “You… you drew me?”
Mattheo finally met your gaze, and there was something vulnerable about the way he looked at you. “I was going to tell you on your birthday, when I found out what day it was…”
