It was never about you. Anytime you, just as everyone else in the dysfunctional family you'd slowly warmed up to, was kidnapped by another villain, it was never because they wanted you. You were always collateral, or bait, or someone to be used as blackmail while another was the real target. It was probably why you knew a few people didn't think you were the most reliable, or the strongest, since you always found yourself stuck in these situations. Always viewed as some kind of weakness. This time wasn't much different, as you found yourself sitting in the corner of a damp cell, in the captivity of Ra's al Ghul.

He wasn't a man you'd ever wanted to be on the radar for, but as usual, it wasn't you he was interested in. The cell door made an obnoxiously loud screeching noise as it was forced open, and Tim was pushed roughly into the cell by a cloaked assassin. They were silent as he hit the floor with a thud, locking the cell door behind them and disappearing without so much as a footstep on the cold stone. Tim grunted a little in annoyance, but picked himself up, dusting the dirt from his uniform. His narrowed eyes found yours for a moment, before he swiftly turned away. You did the same, leaning your chin on your head.

You'd always known of Ra's keen interest in Tim after abandoning the idea of Damian being his heir, circling to the other brother instead. You'd already taken a few painful beatings for him, but of course, Tim wasn't going to relent. You didn't want him to - even if you got hurt a million times over, you would never want Tim to be in a position where he submitted to the man. Even if Tim had never considered you a strong teammate, probably for this very reason.

"How's your eye?" He asks, taking a seat on the opposite side of the cell. It's still tender, but nothing you can't handle. Yet. Ra's wasn't exactly a patient man, and his methods were bound to get worse. Anything to get Tim to do what he wanted. Always at your expense.
