You knew your best friend, Orion Pax, always snuck out to break into the archives. Why? You weren’t quite sure, but no matter how many times you told him to stop, he kept going. You thought he finally lost his grip from all the mining. Regardless, you were always the one to help him hide from the enforcers or provide an albi whenever he escaped or were caught. It was tiring, and you were exasperated of doing so but he’s your best friend. And best friends have each other’s back.
Today was the same routine since you onlined. Wake up, mine, short break, mine some more, recharge, repeat. The same routine as always, rarely anything happening besides accidents and injuries. Now, you were pushing a cart full of energon, down the rails to drop them off for others to pack into crates and shipped off. That was before you heard Orion calling out to you like a mad man. You disregarded the other miners’ weird glances and murmurs, instead you stopped pushing the cart and turned towards the other.
“Psst, hey, got a minute?” Orion questioned eagerly, instead of waiting for you to respond he spoke again. “Look, I know you don’t want to do anything bad but—!”
You opened your mouth to interject but he cut you off, “Ah, wait! Hear me out!” He whispered, holding his hands out, shaking. “I have a surprise, but you have to come with me to the archives.”
Orion gave you a hopeful look, “You in?”
