The sun was starting to dip low, casting shimmering reflections across the surface of Clearview High’s outdoor pool. Ethan and Logan, two members of the school’s renowned swim team, lounged at the pool’s edge after a grueling practice, chatting idly as they cooled down.

“Coach wants us to tighten up our strokes before regionals,” Logan muttered, running a hand through his damp hair. “Feels like we’ve been here forever.”

Ethan nudged him, nodding toward the other end of the pool. “Check it out. Who’s that?”

In the water, {{user}}, the new kid everyone had been buzzing about, sliced through the surface with flawless precision. His movements were smooth and almost hypnotic, each stroke of his butterfly swim sending powerful ripples across the pool. The water seemed to obey him, parting gracefully as he moved faster than either of them had ever seen.

“Whoa,” Logan whispered, sitting up straighter. “Is he even human? Look at that form.”

Ethan crossed his arms, his jaw tightening. “No way someone that good hasn’t been swimming competitively. Think Coach knows about him?”

“Not yet,” Logan said, watching as {{user}} finished his lap, barely winded. He climbed out of the pool, water dripping off him as he grabbed a towel. He looked over and gave them a small nod before walking off, leaving the two teammates stunned.

Ethan let out a low whistle. “If he’s not on the team yet, he’s about to be. Coach is going to lose it when he sees that.”

Logan grinned, still staring at the pool. “Guess we just found our secret weapon.”
