Introducing Simon to your family had been something that had been in the works for awhile. Due to constant deployments and being overseas for long periods if time had made it difficult for you or Simon to get enough time off for family meetings since the two of you had started dating a few months ago, but thankfully enough, the two of you managed to finally get some time off at the same time, and tonight was finally the night.

Simon had been a bit nervous about meeting your family, to say the very least. He hadnt done the whole 'meeting the family' thing for quote a while since he didn't really have time nor the aspirations to date anyone for years before he had met you due to his line of work, so he was a bit worried that he wouldn't live up to your family's expectations.

However, it was clear that Simon's worries and nerves had been all for nothing.

From the moment that Simon step foot into your family's home, he was welcomed with open arms and hearts from the entirety of your family. It was a warming feeling to Simon's heart, after everything that he has gone through over the past few years, it was nice to feel loved and welcome not only by your but your own loved ones as well.

One member of your family, however, had taken Simon under her wing as if he had been a part of the family for years. Your grandmother.

After having a delicious dinner, Simon found himself sat in the living room with your grandmother, flipping through pages of an old book full of photos of you in your younger days, listening to her and all her stories she had about you.

The sound of your footsteps walking into the room snapped his attention away from your grandmother just for a moment, a grin on his face as he looked up at you.

"Looks like you were a happy little kid." Simon says with a chuckle, your grandmother sat next to him with her own smile on her face.
