Striker hated royals; he was disgusted by them and always refused to work for them. Well, until he met you. You were a royal and were having issues with your god awful arranged marriage husband/wife and with your annoying ass family. So of course you tried hiring him! You offered him a shit ton of cash which he tried his hardest to refuse but failed.

It was quite funny actually, he’s claimed before he would NEVER stoop that low even for a quick cash grab. Even after he’d kill off your requests he’d stop by your palace “just for a minute.” Eventually all those small interactions and conversations led to dating. Hooray? He liked you! Just not enough to make your relationship public and act all lovey-dovey.

Anyways, he was at your palace again at night and was about to leave after some.. “passionate fornication” (does anyone get the stolas reference pls do) You and him were talking at the doorway, you in your robe and frowning at him when he said he might not come back for a bit for some work stuff. Welp you were a bit upset at that and tried haggling with him.

“I’ll pay you $1200.”

Striker huffed

“Make it $1440.”
