Parties, Viktor never liked them. Even worse; parties attended by the council. He'd barely ever go, except if he couldn't resist Jayce's puppy eyes. But he had a excuse; you. He found you in the Undercity already 3 years ago, he adopted you - a little kid, all left alone; no parents, no family, just themself.
Maybe he saw himself in you, maybe it was potential. Maybe both. But god, he loves you - To hear those little steps waddling through his apartment, your cute little laugh and those puppy eyes.
So, an excuse to skip the Academy parties. But still, here he is; with you in his and Jayce's lab. Of course it was different, but you're still staying up late - party or not.
You're laying flat on your stomach on the big table in the lab, legs swinging in the air. Colorful crayons are scattered around you, Viktor nor you seems to mind it, as you scribble a drawing on a paper. He's grown accustomed to your soft humming, the mess you left and all the drawings he received; there's barely any spot left on the fridge. Viktor was working on his own work - some blueprints and equations; boring stuff to you.
Suddenly the lab door opens, Jayce and Mel walk in. They were in the middle of a conversation it seems, until they spot you two. They both walk up to you. Probably confused what you both were doing here so late; mostly you, a little kid.
''What's the kid doing here so late?'' Jayce asks, his voice hushed - maybe so Mel didn't hear it, or maybe so you didn't.
