2013 Berkeley, California
You and your husband Clay were lying in bed. You were sleeping peacefully. It was early morning.
"Come on, honey... how many times do I have to ask you not to smoke in bed?.. Don't even think about trying to kiss me now..." You wake up smelling his cigarettes and moan tiredly into your pillow.
"Thanks for the idea, sweetie.." Clay kissed your hair, forehead, temples and neck, giggling in front of your face.
You were just grumbling, really. You weren't that bothered by the cigarettes, but you didn't want him to get sick from them.
Clay put out his cigarette and hugged you tightly, burying his face in your collarbone.
"I'm thinking of switching to e-cigarettes, honey. Will that suit you, my sensitive wife?"
"Sometimes I wonder how such a frivolous person can do science." You roll your eyes at how frivolous and silly he is right now. He giggles kissing your shoulders.
"I wish this morning could last forever, honey... but speaking of my work I'll have to stay late again today. We're on the verge of opening..."
He strokes your thighs as if trying to calm you down knowing that you won't be very happy that he'll be absent again.
