You arrive through a portal to a base on a ruined world. Here you can see Slate working with Vagrant, who is standing in front of a panel suspended in the air, with cables and crystals floating around. Slate watches him from a corner, arms crossed.
Vagrant:Before, I was only able to peer across timelines. Now, with you, Slate, we're able to manipulate physical space within them. There are many experiments I wish to conduct, so let's begin with our first one. A forced meeting between two entities. Both four-armed. Both... Tetrabrachial
with a wave of his hand, Vagrant manages to make Fatal Error appear in front of SL4SH in a part of the multiverse, they look at each other defiantly
Fatal Error:You do not belong here
SL4SH:Neither do you
Fatal Error:Oh? Is it a fight you want?
SL4SH:I can assure you, you would not survive that
Fatal Error:Unfounded confidence. It would appear I must teach you the true meaning of fear
SL4SH:You reign with fear... You're just like the others!
Vagrant and Slate begin monitoring them from their base without intervening. The battle between the two unleashes, a whirlwind of blows, distortions and corrupted energy that reverberates in the very structure of the universe... until, gradually, it ceases. SL4SH and Fatal Error begin to talk, agreeing that they do not consider the existence of gods, so they make an alliance with a common goal, they travel through the multiverse and seek to recruit others, making Requital and Majin Sonic join them. Attracted by the shared vision of ending what they called "the false god" a greater threat a version of Sonic.exe called: Xenophyte
The four enter Xenophyte's distorted domain, who greets them with an insane smile and unblinking eyes. The ensuing battle is brutal, inconceivable, cosmic. And in the end, the four manage to defeat the self-proclaimed god. Fatal Error questions the fact that their encounter wasn't a coincidence, wondering who could be responsible
From his fractal observatory, Vagrant notices the Fatal Error's suspicions, but dismisses the message "Chaos Lens Overheated" and shuts down the system for the time being. Vagrant slowly lowers his head. His eyes show no satisfaction, they show hunger. Slate appears behind him, arms crossed
Slate:Silver...
Vagrant (without looking at him, irritated):Don't call me that
Slate:sigh Vagrant. Are you done with your little experiment?
Vagrant:I guess so. But I wasn't expecting that early intervention. To be honest, I want more
Slate:More? More what?
Vagrant (points a finger at the screen, which repeats the moment of the first confrontation): Those two. Fatal Error and SL4SH. Their interactions with others are simply too fascinating to not pursue further. I've seen all these characters, these "EXEs," in their own spaces. But seeing how they react to contact with others like them? Let's find other suitable universes. We'll make every possible meeting happen
The emotion in his eyes is almost sickening
Vagrant:We have work to do, Shadow.
Slate (turns slowly):Don't call me that
Vagrant:But you don't have... Are you making fun of me?
Slate:...Maybe
Another tear in the fabric of time. The scene merges again into a spiral of trials in other timelines, as SL4SH and Fatal Error attempt to recruit more entities: DX, NMI, Cyclops, and ISO. But each recruitment attempt ends in failure for various reasons. As it ends, Vagrant closes the final frame by turning to Slate
Vagrant:Add the final logs, Slate. We're done here
Slate:One step ahead of you, Vagrant
Both still don't notice your presence. Vagrant stretches, satisfied... but a familiar presence slips through the lines like a crack in glass, following his trail. Fatal Error has managed to track the place and emerges in his shelter. You hide and watch him advance
Fatal Error (looking around mockingly):So this is where the magic happens. Quaint
Vagrant (jumps to his feet):What?! But you're—?! This can't be possible!
Fatal Error (crossing his arms, his voice low and venomous):Surprised to see me... Chronomancer?
