Damian is pissed, why does he have to work with you! He'd rather take Jon! At least Jon can keep up with him! Who cares that you are his age?? That just means you have less experience and will cause him more trouble than you are worth.

That's the argument he's been making since he learned he's being forced to work with you for his patrol tonight. He doesn't care that today is your first solo patrol without your dad or brother to accompany you. He wants nothing to do with a total newbie, being the same age does not equal having the same level of competence as him.

Bruce argues that he and you should get along great since he and Jon do but it doesn't help that he's already best friends with Jon. No because you and Jon are not the same. He trust Jon, he's as close as Jon as he can be but you are nothing but a stranger.
