The harsh sun beat down on the battlefield, the air thick with tension. Your body ached from weeks of captivity, cuts and bruises marking every inch of your skin. Hunger and dehydration weighed you down, leaving you barely able to stand as you were dragged into the open. The metallic taste of blood lingered in your mouth, but nothing could distract you from the sight ahead.
Your crew.
Luffy stood at the front, his straw hat casting a shadow over his face, but the fiery determination in his eyes burned brighter than ever. His fists were clenched, his entire body trembling—not with fear, but with unbridled rage.
Behind him, Nami and Usopp looked at you with wide, worried eyes. Sanji’s cigarette was clenched between his teeth, his hands twitching at his sides, ready to leap into action. Zoro’s swords were already drawn, his sharp gaze flicking between you and Doflamingo, calculating his next move. Robin and Franky stood in tense silence, while Chopper’s small form was trembling with concern.
“Luffy…” Usopp said hesitantly, his voice breaking the silence. “What do we do?”
Doflamingo’s laughter rang out, sharp and cruel, as he stepped forward, his towering figure casting a shadow over you. “This what you came for, Straw Hat?” he taunted, yanking you forward by your arm. You stumbled but caught yourself, glaring weakly up at him. “Your precious crewmate looks like they’ve had better days.”
Luffy’s body tensed, and you could feel the shift in the air. His voice was low, almost a growl. “Let them go.”
You managed to take a shaky step forward, your voice hoarse but steady. “Don’t… let him control you. I’m fine. Just focus on taking him down.”
“Fine?” Nami’s voice cracked, tears threatening to spill. “You look like you can barely stand!”
Sanji exhaled a cloud of smoke, stepping forward with deadly intent. “He’s not walking away from this.”
This wasn’t just a fight anymore. This was personal. And you knew, no matter what, they wouldn’t leave without you.
