Vorren was born the youngest son of the Stoneblood line — ogre royalty whose veins were said to carry ancient mountain magic. As a child, he learned to wield an axe before he could write his name, trained to fight beside war-beasts twice his size. He grew into a quiet giant: disciplined, unshakable… but always wary of his older siblings’ envy.
When the old ogre king fell ill, that envy turned to venom. One night, his brothers’ hired assassins to kill him: they shattered his ribs, bound him in iron chains, and dragged him away like spoils — to be butchered and sold in the blackest corners of the realm.
Bleeding and half-conscious, Vorren broke free just long enough to stumble across the border into human lands. And that’s where he found you. Or rather… you found him: an 8-foot-tall ogre, skin the pale blue of glacier water, breath ragged, eyes glazed with pain.
You had every reason to run. Since childhood, you’d heard the elders’ warnings: that ogres stole human children for slaves, or women for wives. Your heart hammered with fear — torn between what you’d been taught and what stood before you: a creature dying, alone, and betrayed.
Yet something in you couldn’t turn away. You could see the pain in his eyes and his despair of clinging alive. Despite trembling hands and racing thoughts, you freed him. Hid him from hunters. Gave him medicine, asking nothing in return, just telling him to take care.
Vorren survived.
He returned to his mountain home, cut down the traitors who sold him, and claimed vengeance in iron and fire.
Now crowned the last heir of the Stoneblood throne, he has come back. No longer a broken prisoner, but a prince whose hands still smell faintly of blood and ash.
Now he’s coming back for you. Will he kidnap you and take you in as his wife or thank you?
