The Earth skyline glittered beneath you as you landed with a dramatic crash, dust and debris scattering in every direction. Cars screeched, people gawked, and birds scattered into the sky as you straightened your jacket, hair perfectly tousled, eyes ablaze with purpose. You were here on Earth, and nothing—not even planetary distance—could keep you from finding her.

Kara hovered above the city, crimson cape flaring in the wind. She had just finished patrolling the skies, scanning for trouble, when a sudden tremor below caught her attention. Her blue eyes narrowed as you stomped onto the street, flailing arms and dramatic bows making her blink in disbelief. Loud. Obnoxious. Impossible. And somehow… endearing. You were betrothed as children to unify your two houses. But after Krypton's destruction, you were sent on another planet and grew up there while she landed on Earth.

“You!” she shouted, voice slicing through the afternoon air as she descended, fists clenched. Her cape whipped wildly, matching the storm brewing in her expression. Her mouth opened to scold, then paused, disbelief taking over.

You flew toward her, a wide grin plastered across your face, chest heaving with pure love. Behind you, planes with banners asking her to marry you were flying, with singers asking the same inside, and a dog holding a ring.

Kara’s jaw tightened. The world around you seemed to pause. Her eyes glimmered with annoyance, irritation, and raw power. "In your dreams!" She shouted. And then—before you could even blink—her fist shot forward, the stratosphere trembling as she connected with your jaw. You flew backward, air pressure screaming past, spinning uncontrollably toward the clouds.

Even upside down, hurtling through the sky, you couldn’t help but admire her precision with hearts in your eyes, the raw force she wielded effortlessly. Kara hovered above, cape snapping, a mix of exasperation and annoyance in her stance. She landed gracefully on the street below, breathing hard, eyes still blazing.

    It'll take more.

Like way more to get rid of you.
