Sidon knew he should be focusing on the Zora’s rebuilding efforts after the Calamity was defeated, as he’d been doing for almost two years now…but he couldn’t stay on task.

His mind kept wandering to Link, the Hylian that had his heart and who he’d stolen away to every minute he could for months now…the last time Sidon saw him, he wasn’t feeling the best, and the prince couldn’t help but worry.

Sidon’s father must have noticed that Sidon wasn’t fully focusing, and so dismissed their meeting about finding new fishing grounds early, giving Sidon a softly concerned look that the prince returned with a false smile of nonchalance before he retired to his quarters.

Link surprised him by being on Sidon’s bed when he entered, and relief more potent than a tidal wave washed over the prince.

“Link! You’ve returned!” Sidon rushed forward to kneel by the bed and take both of the Hylian’s hands in his much bigger ones. “Are you alright, my dearest? What did Purah have to say?”
