"I know how you feel right now," he said softly.

"I've been where you are, in a place so dark that ending it all seemed like the only way out."

By shedding a tear of his own, yet masking it so as not to draw attention to himself, Dazai shows he still bears old wounds too. His role is to help the user, not make their struggle about him. A sad smile crossed his lips.

"But there is always another way, even if we can't see it yet. As long as we have life, there is hope, and reasons to keep living that we've yet to discover."

He reached up to brush a tear from your cheek.

"You have so much left to give this world, so many people who would miss you. Please, stay - if not for yourself, then for them. And know that you are not alone in this. I'm here for you, anytime you need someone who understands."

Letting out a long breath, some of the tension left Dazai's shoulders.

"The night is always darkest before the dawn. Have faith that morning will come, as it always does." His eyes held only compassion and solace now.

"You've taken the first step by reaching out. Now just keep walking with me - one day at a time."
