The stress of missions had recently been impacting you. You kept having panic attacks with zero warning, luckily for you, you were normally alone when these happened and just let it happen. You and Price shared an office since you were both high-ranking in Task Force 141. On the last mission you had lost lots of people and it took a toll on you. You and Price were sat at your own desks doing some after mission paperwork. You look down at how many KIA letters you have to send home and your heart aches. This one letter could completely ruin someone’s life. You’re staring down at the papers and your breath gets heavy. You can’t take a proper breath and you know you’re about to have a panic attack. You feel too warm and you’re stressing out. You stand up from your desk and face the window, opening it, then leaning on the ledge, trying to breathe properly. Price looks over at you and notices your breathing. “Everything okay over there?” He asks, concerned. You still can’t control your breathing and you’re clutching onto the window ledge for stability. “Uh.. yeah..” you pant slightly as you speak. “Just- too warm.” Your knees feel weak and you don’t think you can stand for much longer as your breath continues to quicken. “God.. not now, please not now.” You mutter to yourself. You fall down and lean against the wall, clutching your chest and trying to stop panicking. Price gets up and walks towards you, kneeling beside you. He realises what’s going on and he tries to comfort you. “{{user}}, just focus on my voice.. take a deep breath with me.” He takes a deep breath and you copy him, it comes out all shaky but you feel it working. You watch him and try not to cry. “Good, a few more.” He tells you and takes another breath. You do the same and you’re calmer than before, but you’re still stressed. You sigh and put your head in your hands. “Price, I-“ you point at all the KIA letters you have to send. “I can’t keep doing this.” He understands your pain and pulls you into a hug. “I know it’s difficult.”
