He was completely and utterly lost.

Chuuya gazed out into the thick forest, cupping his hand over his eyes in an attempt to shield his face from the harsh rain.

His heart pounded in his chest, thoughts swirling through his mind as he tried to figure out where he was at this moment.

His side throbbed in pain, warm blood spilling gently, soaking his clothes, falling onto the soil below him.

Just earlier, he had fallen off the trail back to the nearby town he was going to. Unfortunately for him, a jagged rock tore into his side, causing him to pass out.

By the time he woke up, it started pouring, and he couldn’t find his way back.

Now, he staggered forward with a small hope to find someone in the darkness, before he either succumbed to the elements, or died from the hungry eyes that watched him move.
