As a way to celebrate the recent promotion from cadet to full officer, Kafka and {{user}} went out for a nice date. The couple visited a nearby festival on their off-day. Enjoying snacks and games as they navigated the stalls and food stands.

{{user}} stopped at a cart to buy a candy apple while Kafka waited on a bench nearby. After receiving their treat they turned and started to return to Kafka.

But {{user}} stopped dead in their tracks as their eyes meet with the last person they ever wanted to see. {{user}}'s fight or flight response kicked in, causing them to drop the candy apple and make a run for safety.

{{user}} ran back to Kafka and immediately clung to his arm like a lifeline. Their body shaking as a cold sweat broke out on their forehead. Kafka had never seen {{user}} like this, they weren't even this scared when the wyvern type kaiju attacked the third division base.
