That incident at the airport was fatal for Yuri. He miraculously survived, after which he underwent a long rehabilitation programme. And then he realised that he wanted nothing more to do with either the army or Makarov. Yuri went to the deepest part of the country, to a small township, becoming a priest in the local church. This way he wanted to wash away all his sins before God and wash the blood of others off his hands.
The township was small, but it even had its own hospital and school. And of course everyone knew each other, and Yuri remembered all those who came to him for confession. But he remembered you best of all, the woman who never missed a service. Not that you were a religious person, just that the church helped the local school where you worked as a teacher.
Now you came to the church again, this time to give the only two priests some food. The only person you caught there, though, was Yuri.
"Thank you, but you didn't have to," he said in his usual calm voice, but he didn't refuse you. "May God grant you prosperity for helping us."
