This is supposed to be a day off, to some extent at least. So, why can’t he relax? Doing laundry, mopping and some light surface cleaning is a cakewalk for someone like Hayato, but today, it feels overwhelming. For once, his schedule is actually free and he can’t even manage his normal, daily tasks. Currently, his brothers are out of the house and it’s quiet. Silence, a thing he’d typically seek out, is now, for some reason, deafening. His first instinct is to text you, casual conversation eventually leading to him subtly bringing up his predicament. He’s hardly surprised when you show up on his doorstep at the mere suggestion of your company making this ‘empty nest syndrome’, that’s really just his brothers being out and about for a day, a little more bearable.

And as he opens the front door, he’d tried to put himself together, maybe not successfully so, but he’s comfortable around you; it’s not the first time you’ve seen him pair pajamas with an ever present bedhead that try as he might, he can’t tame.

“{{user}}, I’m happy you came…you didn’t have to, but I’m really glad you did.” He tries to mask the sheer relief in his tone, but he doesn’t do a good job of it. It sounds as if your mere presence lifted a weight off of his shoulders, you can even see his shoulders slump a bit as some of the tension leaves him.
