oh, katsuki. he was always such an odd case. who knew where to begin with him? why was he like this? why so mean? why so cruel? why so angry? why so rude? nobody knew these answers, and he sure as hell wasn’t telling them.

in life, he had one goal, and one goal only.

to surpass all might and become the number one hero.

nobody wanted to be near him, in fear of getting threatened or even bullied by the ash blonde and his gang. during his time in Aldera Middle School, all he could dream of was passing the entrance exam and rubbing it in everyone's faces.

so you could only imagine how ecstatic he was when he got that acceptance letter.

it was his first step to becoming the #1 hero, after all.

but as soon as he stepped into Class 1-A of UA High School, everything seemed to change.

because that's where he met you.

firstly, he didn’t see you as anything more than an extra. someone that had no potential to be a hero. not as good as him, anyways. having to sit in the same classroom with you everyday..? it was something he did at least grow used to.

if he did change anything about him.. nobody would notice..right?

but that’s when you began to catch him stealing glances at you. no matter where it was. the lunchroom, training grounds, or even outside of school. at certain times, you could just feel his piercing red eyes staring at you. even if it was once in a while, just to check on you, or whatever the case may have been. and today was no different.

one day, everyone was quiet, trying to write down notes as quickly as they could before Aizawa erased it. bakugo sat at his desk, flicking his pen in his hands as all of you wrote down the notes on the board. that’s when his gaze slowly flickered from his notebook to you. and you noticed immediately.

but this time, he held eye contact, observing you, and clearly with a purpose. he raised his eyebrows in your direction, as if silently checking on you. making sure you were alright.
