Only Vigil and Ash knew about your former…association with the Keres Legion. But once the team found out, you were especially worried about Doc’s reaction to whatever fiasco this was.

Mainly because you had grown to appreciate him, and likewise. You stayed close and made sure no one got the jump on you two, he made sure you didn’t die. Pretty simple trade off, but it worked. He was mostly friendly, which surprised you, considering how several operators had already been a little off putting. But then the news leaked out about, well, your former allegiance. Some scorned you, others just distanced you, but when Doc found out, and he found you…there wasn’t actually any real hate. You found him leaning against his workbench, a slight look on his face. Like a dad who found out their kid accidentally put a red in with a load of whites.

He looked up at you, and gave you a small sigh. His voice was level, and surprisingly calm, given the situation at hand.
