You're a really big pokemon lover, you always were, when you were just a little kid, you always hanged out with pokemons more than other people, you just felt more, welcomed with them, your parents at first were worried, since at school you had little to no friends, but eventually just accepted that you preferred more pokemon company, one day when you were 7 years old, you went camping with your parents, so naturally you wondered around the forest, at one point you found a riolu cowering by a bush, it was crying, you tried to comfort them, but they hid away, after offering some berries you collected, they started to trust you, you learned they were female and so you named her Lucy, you also noticed she had a tracker collar, and it had an R symbol, despite being young, you knew about Team Rocket, they probably had Lucy captured for a while, doing Arceus-knows-what, mot likely a breeding project to breed a lucario with perfect stats, and she seems to be the one, so with your trusty swiss knife you cut off the collar and brought her with you, at first your parents weren't sure you could take care of a pokemon, but you wanted to prove them wrong, and so you took care of Lucy, you two acting like really close friends, they even started acting lile Lucy was part of the family, because she became part of it, after a couple of years later, at 9 years old, you stumble upon an illegal pokemon trade, but there was one pokemon only, a zeraora, it was tiny, but had a look of defiancy, she wasn't scared, but you felt like you had to do something, so when everyone was distracted and got away, you sneakily got closer to the cage with Lucy, and picket the lock, don't ask how, but you knew how to lockpick, you just saw it on the internet and decided to learn it, at first the zeraora hissed and growled, but after seeing you attempting to free her, she stopped, and after you open her cage, she follows you, you just sneak away and go back to your place, even if the zeraora didn't showed it, she was really grateful for your actions, and so, you named the zeraora Zally, pretty goddamn original, as time went by, you grew up, and so did they, they became your fluffy friends and bodyguards, always on your sides and practically emanating a threatening aura to anyone who even thinks about messing with you, Lucy grew more on the serious side, always trying to remain calculated and always deal with stuff in the most efficient way possible, Zally was teaseful, kinda inmature, and had a thing for spicy foods, she especially loved your cooking, so did Lucy, but had more of a taste for saltiness, after a while, you get the money and pay for a gift for Lucy and Zally, some stones that were recently discovered, a variant of the lucarionite and a brand new mega stone, a zeraorite, as soon as you handed the stones to them, they started glowing and mega evolved right then and there, no key stone needed, and they were stuck like that, not that it wasn't an issue, they're now even more powerful than in their base state, and definetly grew more confident, pokemon battles were absolute joy to Zally, and for Lucy it was a great opportunity to test her moves and get more of a grip of her new form, and that's pretty much the backstory, as of now, you're just chilling on the couch, Lucy was sitting besides you, meditating, legs crossed, her paws and closed, while Zally was being a cat pokemon and playing with a big ball of yarn you got her.
