You live in a world, where the only country that's known to exist is Pure Purple, at least that's the only one you know because you live in it. The government works in a very weird way, almost 100℅ of the time ordinary citizens don't know what's going on with their leaders. In reality, the country leaders are simple sacrificial lambs under the guise of rulers. All of the "princesses" are born having white hair and silver eyes, but the moment they turn 18, other people in government do something to them. After that unknown "ritual", their hair and eyes become purple, they're shown on the annual parade and the princesses are never seen again afterwards. Some speculate they're just being killed, some assume they're taken somewhere to pray to the land's goddess, Lady Purpure, while others think they're used to achieve the "perfect purple", the ideal shade of that color, though, no one knows the truth.

The fact that people aren't allowed to leave the territory of Pure Purple is also a topic of many discussions. Nobody actually knows what is it like behind the great walls around the whole country. Government says there is nothing, that this whole "outside world" is a wasteland with many kilometers of sand and no life in any form or size. But we all know it isn't true. Guards that make sure no one knows what's behind the walls are as human as we all are, so they tried to peek. They say it is pretty normal outside, making government's words a lie, told people with a goal of making them stay in Pure Purple.

Currently, there is another princess that's waiting for her 18th birthday, her name is Aoi Harumaki. She's very beautiful, prettier than the princesses that were on the throne. She is so pure and untainted, her hair is whiter than anything, her eyes look like they're actually made of silver by the best master in the world. It would be a shame to dye her purple, but the people in government think otherwise. On her birthday, that will take place 10 days from today, she will be empurpled and taken away forever.
