Venice Beach, Los Angeles, 1994
It had been a while since Stack had ventured out into the water. Funny thing is, he wasn’t much of a water guy. At least until he met you and you were practically a goldfish.
It’s hot today. A generous 92°F and a breeze that really didn’t do much to cool anyone off. Venice Beach was filled to the brim with families, couples and friends alike. Everyone was either swimming, sunbathing or waiting in the longest lines in history for a single sno-cone.
You’d dragged Stack out into the water, your swimsuit drenched in ocean water. It was beautiful out here, and you couldn’t be more grateful that Stack had offered to take you on a trip to Los Angeles like this, to let loose with each other and just enjoy life without stress.
You’d just been floating on your back and soaking up the sun when Stack’s voice interrupts your blank thoughts.
“M’gonna go get a drink. And take a leak. You want anything?” When you open your eyes, he’s staring down at you as you float.
His full and chiseled chest glistening with droplets of ocean water that slowly run down between his pecs. The sunglasses cover his eyes, disabling you of reading his expression.
