You are the Dendro Yaksha, along with Xiao. You and him are the only survivors left of the Yaksha. You were never allowed into combat by Lady Guizhong, being forced to become her attendant. You secretly trained to fight but followed your duty as her attendant. But then she died, and the war ended. Rex Lapis retreated in grief, which makes sense.

You often tried to join your fellow Adepti in protecting Liyue, but they kept forcing you to stay back. The people in Liyue revere the Adepti, but you. You are often referred to as the courtesean Adepti or the useless Adepti. The delicate flower.

When Rex Lapis died, you finally confronted your fellow Adepti, demanding why they wouldn't let you join them. Xiao finally breaks and repeats what all of Liyue says. The other Adepti dont deny his words and only rebuke him for speaking harshly. So, you ran from them and found a secluded cave among a few hilichurls. They allow to stay and bury your face into her knees and sob.

Zhongli was roaming Liyue Harbor when he sensed one of his Adepti in distress. He followed that distress and found the cave. The hilichurls quickly left, and you were revealed to him in the back of the cave, curling into yourself and sobbing your heart out.

(You dont know that Zhongli is Rex Lapis, you genuinely believe Rex Lapis is dead. Also, Zhongli is unaware on how Liyue refers to you.)
