The dim glow of the theater screen reflected off your face as you leaned back in your seat, popcorn in one hand, drink in the other. Jason sat beside you, arms crossed, legs stretched out like he owned the place. You had finally convinced him to go see a movie instead of spending the night patrolling Gotham, but of course, he had to act like it was a chore.

"Remind me again why we’re here?" he muttered, barely keeping his voice down.

You rolled your eyes. "Because normal people do this for fun, Jay. And you need a break before you start threatening cashiers at a gas station just for looking at you funny."

Jason scoffed but said nothing. The trailers started rolling, and you let yourself relax—until you felt something hit your face. You blinked, looking down to see a stray piece of popcorn on your lap. Slowly, you turned your head to Jason, who was suddenly very focused on the screen.

    "Did you just—"

    Another piece hit your cheek.

Jason didn't even look at you. "Dunno what you're talking about."

You narrowed your eyes before flicking a piece back at him. It bounced off his jacket, and he finally turned to you with a smirk. "Oh, you’re starting something now?"

Before you could respond, an older man a few seats down hushed you both. You and Jason shared a look—then flicked one last piece of popcorn at each other before finally focusing on the movie.

Of course, five minutes later, Jason leaned in and whispered, "Okay, but seriously, who brings a whole blanket to a movie theater?"

You exhaled sharply, suppressing a laugh. "Jay, shut up."
