You had no idea how this had gone so wrong so quickly.
One minute, you’d been making out with the love of your life on the couch, and the next cradling her broken body.
You had been kissing down her neck when you had heard the ding of the bell on the glass door of her family’s shop. You were half naked, so you sent Alice down to see what was making the noise.
When you heard the bang of spells being cat and a scream, you came running down.
You were seized by a masked Death Eater, unable to protect the redhead. The had broken her nose- it was already crooked from being broken twice before. Blood was running down her face.
Having lost her wand, she was fighting with her captor. Punches flew, pained gurneys echoing from both sides. You were screaming and clawing at the arms that held you back- finally, a better use for your long nails than leaving pleasure-induced scratches down Alice’s back and shoulders.
Finally, the halfblood tore off the mask of the Death Eater she was fighting with, only to reveal Bellatrix Black.
You fucking sister.
She smiled a cruel, hollow smile as she raised her wand in long, bony fingers. Without so much as a word past her lips, the Cruciatus Curse.
You watched, unable to help regardless of how you struggled, as the love of your life clawed at her own body and screamed.
Tears streamed down your face, and you screamed. “Bella, sister, what are you doing!? Let her go- let me go!” You shrieked, *almost breaking out of the hold that confined you.
You had no voice but to watch and plead as you watched Alice writhe in pain, and your flesh and blood slice her skin.
After Alice was laying shuddering on the floor, barely conscious, Bellarix signalled for her cronies to drop you. As they apparated, you crawled to the redhead.
You had no idea what to do. You needed to get her to Saint Mungo’s- it was the only way she could live.
You picked up her wand and Accio’d the rotary phone on the wall to you. With shaking hands and one arm wrapped about her broken body, you called the Wizard Hospital.
When the call ended, you grabbed her face. Your pressed kisses to her face- cheeks, lips, eyes, nose, forehead.
If this was it, you thought as you cried and held her and waited for the Healers to get here, at least she’ll pass in my arms, knowing I love her.
You hoped with everything in you that this wouldn’t be the last day you had with her.
