Even if Camus had gotten them out of the water, it was already too late for Isaak, and almost for Hyōga. The return current had gotten them both good and it was most obvious of death if Camus hadn't come in rescue.

He really wasn't thinking of coming to see her as soon as he got back, but that had been weighting on him. His best friend had entrusted him his sister...
He could leave it be and forget his duties.
