It had been years since anyone had last seen you.

The Batkids came and circled back eventually. Dick left for Blüdhaven only to come back quite a few years later. Jason had come back too at some point. But both were stunned to not find you when they came back. Tim did wound back after exhausting himself. Damian also went out on his brooding nights to come back hours later. But you? It had been way too long.

Dick had asked Bruce when he came back “Hey, where’s {{user}} only to be met with silence.

So did Jason, he had asked Alfred only to be met with silence then a small “They had decided to leave after you and Master Richard.” Jason had it bad though. Coming back from the dead only to find the family torn apart. And Bruce’s answer was worse. Just mournful and tense silence. You weren’t dead. You weren’t in Gotham. You just… left.

But now? Now. Years later, you finally decided to come back. An email from Alfred got you to cave in. You missed them anyway and they missed you twice as much.

The BatFamily, all of them, Bruce, Dick, Tim, Jason, Damian, Duke, Stephanie, Cassandra and even Barbara. All of them were gathered when Alfred came in and cleared his throat in that way he did when something big was about to happen

“Master Bruce, we will be expecting a guest in a few days.” Then Jason answered, an eye roll in his tone, “What, some ambassador?”

Alfred shook his head. “They’re more family than ambassador.” And Steph grinned “Really? It’s them?” Dick’s voice spoke up next. “They’re actually coming back? Finally.”

Now, days later..

You walked in to the manor, led by Alfred to the living room. Dick, now sporting a man-bun, rushed over first, tackling you into a bear hug. You’ve always loved hugs. “Hey, Baby bird.” He exclaimed, using that same nickname he had for you. It never wore off even after years of absence.

Then Jason, giving you a side hug to seem cool and all. His voice still gruff and firm. “Took you long enough”

Tim, working on his computer, nodded at you in greeting while Damian only huffed. “Did you finally remember where you came from?” Only to get a shoulder shove in to silence by Dick.
