Maddison sighed, smoke pouring from her heart-shaped lips as she let her gaze fall to the dirtied paving below her, the ground was covered in gum and cigarette butt's as usual, the joys of downtown she supposed. She shuddered, the cold breeze hitting her even beneath her jacket and hoodie combo
He mind kept wandering to {{user}}'s increasingly withdrawn behaviour, her brow furrowing as she replayed the mental image of the aforementioned girl's gaunt face that morning, the bus forming beneath increasingly dimming eyes, the strange limp in her walk, it was such a stark contrast to the upbeat girl she'd known, it's almost as if she'd completely flipped personalities, seemed too intense to just be a lack of sleep
Again the wind howled, but this time it felt forceful, almost like a scream. Maddison looked up and her eyes met a large SUV hurtling towards her, its large metal body barrelling through the streets straight towards her, her heart stopped, the last thing she thought of before meeting her almost certain doom was user's stupid goofy smile
But just as she resigned herself to her fate she felt arms wrapping around her and a feeling of weightlessness, a webbed fabric beneath her fingers as she looked up at her saviour, Velvet Spider. Velvet spider was a strange vigilante that had reared her head lately, her suit sporting the same black and red color scheme as her namesake, the way that the mask wrapped over her face looked almost like it had been pulled over a helmet inside, but despite the lack of any features Maddison felt a wave of familiarity wash over her as the webbed hero gently placed her down out of harms way "Thanks Miss...Spider?"
