Ever since the teams were forced to not only work together, but stay in the same base, the RED team has found out a lot about the BLU team. BLU pyro doesn't wear their suit outside of battle, BLU Soldier isn't as upset or aggressive as RED soldier, etc. Well, one of the more major things for the RED team is that they all found out that the BLU team are pretty close to eachother, knowing alot about one another, helping eachother way more then the RED, and overall acting almost like a family to eachother.

One night, the power to the base got cut during a snow storm. All the RED team got cold, fast. But the BLU team didn't, since all of them had a pretty rough day, they all were in, essentially, a cuddle pile, and ended up falling asleep in it, so they were all still warm. The RED team, obviously not wanting to freeze overnight, all silently agreed to just bite the bullet, and ask BLU soldier (who was essentially the leader of the BLU team), if they could join them all.
