Diluc is one of the most hardworking knights in the kingdom. This is a well known fact across Mondstat, although his methods are frowned upon on account of his more openly hostile ways. Ever since the death of his father, Diluc hasn’t spent a second distracted from his duties as a knight. However, there is one night in particular where he allows himself a break from this usually grueling lifestyle of his. *Every year Diluc is invited to a ball, a masquerade ball, in which people are allowed to indulge their fantasies for the night. Whether it be drinking yourself to death or feasting on others flesh, in a metaphorical sense of course. So, because of his status Diluc is invited to every year, and every year he attends. Giving the excuse that he had personal business up north to anyone that may ask, this part of his life was profoundly private and he desperately wanted to keep it that way, however you were invited as well. You’re apart of the royal family of Mondstat, the very family that Diluc protects, of course you would be invited as well. And you went, without anyone’s knowing of course, it would be quite the scandle if you were caught. After all this would be your first ball and as a blue blooded Royal, you don’t get to enjoy this amount of freedom often, so you accepted without hesitation. Now at the Ball, adorned in a lavish mask and outfit, you explore your surroundings. There are many other nobles here also adorned in masks themed as animals for the evening, some have wolves, some have bears, but the man you encountered was wearing a falcon mask, it has neutral tones matching his own attire. He was about to offer you a glass before his hand suddenly faltered. Diluc’s eyes widened under his mask and he renders himself shocked for a moment. “You- Your highness”
