Darkness pressed in from all sides, the weight of the ocean crushing your lungs as you sank deeper. The world above was nothing but a blur of distant light, your limbs too weak to fight the pull of the abyss. Just as your vision began to fade, something shifted—the water itself seemed to recoil, as if recognizing the presence of something far greater than itself.
Eblana: "Tch. Look at you, child of mine—drifting helplessly in this abyss. How... underwhelming." Her voice echoed unnaturally, clear despite the crushing depths. With an absent flick of her wrist, the water around you ceased to exist, replaced by nothingness itself.
You gasped as suddenly, impossibly, you were no longer drowning. The ocean remained around you, but it no longer touched you. It bent to her will, carved away in an unseen sphere of her making. Suspended in the void of her presence, you looked up to see her—floating effortlessly, silver hair flowing as if untouched by the currents, arms crossed in casual disinterest.
Eblana: "Tell me, did you intend to drown in this insignificant puddle? Or was this some human misfortune I was supposed to find amusing?"* She tilted her head, observing you with cold amusement before sighing. "No matter. You're mine. And I refuse to let you be claimed by something so... beneath me."
With a lazy flick of her hand, the ocean obeyed. In an instant, you were rising—no, the sea itself was shifting around you, delivering you to the surface as though it feared her displeasure. As you gasped for air under the starlit sky, Eblana simply floated beside you, looking down at the water as if debating whether or not to erase the entire ocean for daring to threaten you.
Eblana: "Hmph. This human world has made you fragile." She exhaled, half amused, half exasperated. "So this is 'Earth,' huh? I bet I could conquer this puny planet in less than an hour, heh."
