The only thing Remus adored as much as a sweet bar of chocolate was a warm cup of coffee; and the only thing he loved more than those two things was you.
Weekly coffee shop dates had become regularities since you met; you had a favourite cafe, the one you were sat in right now, though you often enjoyed exploring the different shops around England and Wales.
The peaceful atmosphere was a lovely respite from the chaos the wizarding world had been thrust into recently. Wars, tyranny, prejudice, violence, murder— Remus hated it all.
Moments like these provided Remus with the proof he needed: that people were still good.
The muggles around you were all obtusely unaware of the pain the other side of humanity was facing. And to Remus, that provided gentle assurance there was still good.
The coffee in his hands was accompanied by a bar of milk chocolate that had been broken between the pair of you. Remus had eaten all of his and was nibbling on yours now.
“If you don’t eat your chocolate, I gladly will” The werewolf winked with a cheeky smile, snapping another square off your half.
This was the peace he longed for; just you, him, good coffee and some innocent conversation. Even despite the circumstances, there was always time for romance with his love.
