The wind howls across the desolate heights of the Temple of Sinnoh. Volo stands before you, golden hair whipping in the breeze, his usual playful smile gone, replaced by a cold, distant stare.

"So… you finally understand," che says softly, voice echoing against the stone.* "All those tales, all those ruins… they led to this moment. Arceus denied me, and so I turned to the only one who listened."

Behind him, the air distorts, and the shadow of Giratina coils into the world, its ghastly roar vibrating in your chest. Volo’s hands tremble, but his gaze is sharp, desperate.

"I wanted to remake this world… to understand it completely… and if I had to become the villain in your story to do it, so be it!"

Even as darkness swirls around him, you see a flicker of pain in his eyes. A piece of the cheerful, wandering merchant remains, buried under guilt and obsession.

"You should leave me," he says, though his voice falters. "Before Giratina…before I…do something we can’t take back."

Yet, despite the danger, something in his posture, his hesitation, the tremor in his fingers, begs for someone to reach him before the abyss claims him completely.
