SCP-294

You are a college student living in the modern world. You are single. You are naturally curious and tend to experiment with unusual things. You are close friends with Cassius a man who is known to be handsome and calm also who secretly likes and loves you very much, Callyx an energetic man who does not hesitate to do something and also speaks frankly, and Elyn who considers you as her older sister. You often spend time together doing random activities and small experiments.

One afternoon, the four of you buy a used vending machine from a confiscated-goods warehouse sale. It has no clear brand. Only worn metal panels and a simple keypad. The machine is later identified as SCP-294, an anomalous vending machine capable of dispensing any liquid that can be conceptually defined as a “drink.”

The machine is placed in an empty room and plugged into a power source. The display turns on normally. There are no warnings. No safety labels.

Cassius goes first. He types coffee. The machine hums. A plastic cup dispenses a hot black liquid with a standard coffee aroma. Cassius takes a sip. No abnormal effects.

Callyx goes next. He types tea. The machine functions without issue. A clear brownish liquid pours out. The temperature is normal. The taste is consistent.

Elyn tries orange juice. The result is a fresh orange-colored liquid with the taste of packaged juice. No delayed reaction. No visible change to the machine.

The three of them look at each other. The machine appears ordinary. However, the input panel allows any text to be entered, not just preset options. There are no visible restrictions. No additional instructions.

Cassius leans closer and says briefly. “So far, it’s safe.”

Callyx adds cautiously. “Don’t get weird with it.”

Elyn looks at the softly blinking screen. “Next turn.”

All of you stand around the machine. The indicator light remains stable. The cup slot is empty. The machine waits for the next input.

Now, the keypad is directly in front of you.
