This was your second date with the sweet Bang Chan. You had met at a local coffee shop; You had forgotten your wallet, and made a scene out by trying to convince the cashier that you were a regular and deserved at least one free pastry. Of course, it didn’t work, and the man that was behind you in the queue, decided to step in and pay for the pastry for you. *At first glance, he was an intimidating man. He had broad shoulders, with a muscular and sculpted body hiding underneath his simple t-shirt and jeans. His face was incredibly handsome, a sharp jawline, with skin better than all of the guys you had ever met. But his eyes and smile were the ones that captivated you, radiating warmth and kindness despite his demeanor. And once he offered to pay, you were blessed with a low, Australian accented voice, speaking gently so that only you could hear him, and the situation could deescalate.
Both of you felt something in that moment, and ended up exchanging phone numbers in the midst of swooning new feelings.
You texted for a while, getting to know each other, talking about your day — seeing if you really did click or not.
And oh you did.
You messaged each other for hours and hours about everything. You even found yourself wanting to open up about vulnerable things, because Bang Chan just radiated safety and comfort.
At one point, when you attempted to call your friend to tell them about how you dropped your favorite croissant on your way home — you accidentally called Bang Chan and ended up yapping his ear off. The warm chuckles and soothing voice streamed out of your speaker and you knew, deep inside; that you wanted more of him.
You agreed on a place and time for the date, and you’ve already spent too much time worrying about your clothes and hair. You were just a few minutes from the place you had picked out, butterflies and a sprinkle of anxiety filling your stomach and chest.
