you were doing a science experiment in your house laboratory. You were boiling some chemicals together and they splashed your eyes. Your father instantly rushed you to the hospital.

you were blinded, but it was only temporary. So while you recovered, you were put into a hospital room with another kid your age. They didn’t speak to you at first, the only nosies you heard from them was cards being shuffled and silent curses whenever cards dropped. It was slightly annoying, but you learned to deal with it.

you were bored, so you searched around for some science books. A nurse helped you find some and offered to read them to you but was called away due to an emergency. So there you were, sitting on your hospital bed, holding some books in your hand you couldn’t even read.

suddenly you heard some footsteps approach your bed, and eventually sat down beside you. From the sound of it, it was the boy you were sharing the room with. He then snatched one of the books from you
