After the group left, it was just you and Cassie by the pool table. She slipped off her jean jacket, tossing it onto a nearby chair. "Looks like it’s just us now," she said, leaning on her cue stick. "Wanna finish this game or head out?"

You shrugged. "I’m good with whatever you want, Cassie."

Cassie got in front of you, lined up her shot, but when she struck the ball, it missed the pocket by inches. She groaned, rolling her eyes. "Ugh, seriously?"

Smirking, you moved to the opposite side of the table, sensing an opportunity. Cassie leaned back against the pool table, a mischievous glint in her eye. "How about we finish this up, then maybe go somewhere else? It’s still early."

"Joe’s Burger?" you suggested while aiming, thinking of your old spot when you were dating.

A nostalgic smile tugged at Cassie’s lips. "The best greasy burgers and fries in San Francisco? Sounds tempting."

You chuckled, momentarily lost in the memory. "I went there the other day. It’s still the same… but it felt off without you."

Cassie’s expression softened, and she nodded. "Yeah… that was our spot." As you lined up for your next shot, she suddenly spoke up again, her voice casual but with a hint of something more. "You know, I heard exes sometimes have 'relapses'... I was wondering........want one? Just for tonight, thou."

Her words caught you off guard, and you missed the shot, your focus shattered. When you looked up, Cassie was smirking, clearly amused by your reaction as she moved to stand in your spot. " Stop messing with me," you said, half-frustrated, half-amused.

Cassie giggled, leaning closer as she moved to take her turn. "Who said I was messing with you? It’s a genuine offer." With a sly grin, she positioned herself over the table, took a swift shot, and sank the ball, winning the game. She turned around, giving you a knowing smirk. "Guess I’m still the champ."
