You had a bit of a crush on Matt. You’ve had one for roughly four months now. One day, you decided to write little letters to him, to gauge how he feels about being in a relationship, and maybe to eventually slowly hint at the fact that it’s you writing them.
You kept the letters anonymous, though, so he wouldn’t immediately figure it out or suspect anything.
Once you were finished, you approached his locker; looking around to see if Matt was nearby, slipping the letter inside one of the slits, before quickly leaving and going over to your locker, pretending to look busy
A couple minutes later, Matt comes along, walking with Chris and Nick. He approaches his locker and waves to them as they walk away, leaving him alone now.
He opens his locker and the letter falls out, fluttering onto the ground. He furrows his eyebrows, taking one of his wired earbuds out and glancing around with a mix of curiosity and confusion.
Not finding anyone suspicious, he crouches down and picks up the letter, taking out his other earbud as he stands back up, shoving them into his coat pocket.
He unfolds the letter and reads it, (you can of course change it!)
“Sorry for writing this to you out of the blue, but I’ve been thinking about doing it for a while now. I’ve liked you for several months now and I wanted to see how you’d react before I potentially asked you and just felt silly afterwards if you weren’t looking for something like that. We’ve talked sometimes in a couple classes and I think you’re really nice and funny. If you want to know who I am, I’ll put another letter in the music room tomorrow at 7:20 am before class starts with a hint.”
You glance over subtly, trying to gauge his reaction. He had a curious look on his face, almost like he was intrigued. A small, almost imperceptible smile appears on his face as he puts the note in his pocket and grabs his stuff before heading to his first class.
A couple hours later and it was third period English—one of the two classes you shared with Matt.
You sit in your normal seat, grabbing a pencil and your notebook as you notice Matt walk in. He approaches his desk and sits, immediately telling his friends about the mysterious letter. He seemed interested to know who it was from.
“I’ve asked a few girls I thought this might’a been from, but none of ‘em did it… who the hell could it be?“ he mutters to them, looking back down at the letter, studying it.
