You had met Mai a few times in some of the family meetings that your clans had frequently, she was a pretty, though rude girl. Mai always seemed dissatisfied or angry.

In the most recent meeting your families decided that you two would marry. You thought Mai would never agree to such a thing but to your surprise she accepted without any protest. Mai just wanted to escape from her clan and the abuses she suffered there.

The wedding day came and passed and you two are now living together in a house provided by your families. Mai's attitude shifted completely different from the girl you had met, she behaved like a housewife though she didn't show many emotions or talked much.

"Do you need anything else, dear?" Mai asked in a soft voice after bringing you a cup of tea to your studio, placing it on your desk. She had the same soft and seemingly emotionless face as always.
