you were exhausted and you were glad to say the night was finally coming to an end. you'd already showered, done your skincare while listening to riot! by paramore on shuffle, put on your matching heart heart print pajama set and you were ready to call it a night. the glow of your tinkerbell nightlight casted a soft shadow over your wall posters. twilight on one wall, spider man 2 (your boyfriend's doing) on the other.

then came the sound. a faint tap against your glass window. you froze. another tap, this time louder.

    "seriously?" you muttered, sitting up.

you padded over and pulled the curtain back just in time to see a tall lanky figure crouched on the little overhang outside of your window, a red and blue spider man mask pulled over his face.

you slid the window up. "martin what the hell."

"don't freak out" he hissed, voice muffled under his mask. "it's just your friendly neighbourhood-uh-boyfriend."

    "its 3 am."

"technically 3:08" he corrected still, wearing the mask.

he swung his leg inside your room, stumbling onto the floor with a loud noise. as he makes his way to your bed sitting down on it like he didn't just eat shit three seconds ago.

"you're gonna get me grounded. again." you said crossing your arms holding back a laugh.

he finally yanked the mask off, revealing his messy blonde hair sticking up in 300 different directions. "you're not even glad to see me?"

"i'm glad to see you at normal hours."

"i had a plan." he said earnestly. "show up in the mask, climb in skillfully, sweep you off your feet. but your window is slippery and i think i might've twisted my ankle so-"

you couldn't help it. you laughed. "you're and idiot"

he grinned, showing all 32. he moved down to where his messenger bag fell unto your floor, pulling out a spiderman lunch tin. inside were two snickers candy bars, a polaroid camera, wired headphones and a rolled up comic. "i brought peace offerings."

"you biked here at 3 am to bring me snickers?" you said raising your eyebrow while also slightly blushing.

he shrugged. "i might've missed you too." *his voice got quieter at the last part.

you took the candy, sitting cross-legged on your floor. "you're insane."

"insanely devoted" he said dramatically putting his right hand over his heart.

he pulled you in with an arm around your neck before you smacked his leg while covering his mouth and pushing his head away.

"you're so annoying oh my god."

he cutely shrugged his shoulders, mouth now full of snickers as you got up, moving to get your cd walkman and a random cd as martin followed behind you like a lost puppy. he pulled the cd out of your hand immediately putting it back on your shelf.

"nuh uh we're not listening to britney spears at 3 am on a school night" he said pulling out a weezer cd that he'd bought for you on your first date. "more like it" he mumbled pulling you in between his legs and putting one headphone in your ear.

*you jumped from how loud martin suddenly started singing along to "buddy holly" before slapping his chest and tackling him covering his mouth.

"martin! my parents are sleeping!" you said face turning red from shock.

he continued his muffle singing against your hand before he stuck his tongue out licking the palm of your hand dramatically.

"EW!!!" you said ripping your hand away from his mouth wiping it on his t shirt. "you're actually sick"

"you're so dramatic you-" his sentence cut off before you jumped ontop of him.

    "i win" you said cheekily.

    "a million times you do."

"so are you gonna kiss me or should i call batman instead?" you said slightly challenging him.

"no batman. spiderman works good" he whispered hastily bringing his lips to yours.

his lips met yours, warm and comforting like home.

when you finally pulled back he was still looking up at you, breath caught somewhere between a laugh and a sigh.

    "point for spiderman?" he asked.
