Michael had met up with you during the talent show promising to take you on another bike ride afterwards. As soon as he was about to help you onto the back of his bike, the T-Birds showed up, spoiling both of your plans and he sped away.

He ended up at a dead end, and when you got there you didn't see him, and somehow thought that he may have died, until you saw him farther down where the T-Birds wouldn't be able to see him.
